Verre Églomisé 2

The construction of the frame takes place after the eglomise is complete and takes days and weeks to complete. Below is a fun movie of some shots we took during the process.

On the left is the door under construction. Notice the clamps around the door which hold the inlays in place while the glue is drying.

Apart from the artwork itself, Graham is a fine workworker and carpenter. Even though the video dispenses with the wood cutting itself, the clamping for the constructon and the marquetry work itself is demonstrated in the short video presented here.
